These patterns have you changing colors often which can lead to several ends to weave in. You can choose to carry the yarn up your knitting or cut after each section. My rule of thumb for these hats was to cut my yarn and weave in the ends after. I felt like I got a nicer seam when the ends were woven in at the end as opposed to carrying the yarn. No matter what you choose, your hat will be beautiful in the end.
