Barcode Shawl Pattern

1 PDF knitting pattern

Pattern Notes: For me, naming the patterns can be the hardest part of the whole design. I had asked our Youtube podcast viewers to help with some suggestions. When I heard Barcode I thought it was perfect, it not only reminded me of what a barcode looks like, it also plays into our grocery store  roots. This pattern uses mosaic knitting, a method using slipped stitches and two colors of yarn, to create a fun, colourful pattern. Pick two DK weight yarns that have a high contrast for the best results.

Materials: Midknit Cravings Comfort Sport (DK) yarn, 100% SW

merino 115g/255yds. Color A- Broken Slate 102g used. Color B-

Vanilla 106g used.

Notions: 6mm/US 10 32” needle and a tapestry needle.

Gauge: 14 sts and 14 rows for 4” in garter stitch after blocking.
